Give it up mate, you can’t install chinese version on global devices, i’ve tried it before, the flash tool will check the device model number before flashing, and the it will fail

Hi there! Sorry for taking soooo long to reply your message, i just got back from my work (3 weeks not going home, i just got back). Anyway, the extra step you need to take when flashing the firmware is really easy, after you load the firmware to the flashing tool, click on the other gear (two gear icon beside the one you use to load the firmware) to enter the settings of the flash tool and then go to the “Vol-freq tuning” tab, and then select the “EMMC” option under the storage type dropdown menu. Just flash and wait. And that’s all there is to it, after flashing the firmware this way, my tab is less stuttery and ran more smoothly. I have tried tweaking the frequency on vol freq tuning tab without changing the storage type, it kinda works but changing the storage type to emmc is much more stable for me. And that concludes my explanation, waiting for your feedback, Cheers!?

Hi there Weirdiplay40! Such a funny name lol, anyway what do u mean by an actual fix for the stuttering? You have one? And im also came into the same conclusion as you about the max volume and the background process is causing the stuttering. Im also experimenting with my device for quiet some time and found something else such as the tablet memory chip is still using emmc, that contributes to the processing speed of the tablet in my opinion and there’s some option that you should change when flashing the tablet, after changing this option, the tablet won’t stutter as much and when it does, it doesn’t need to be restarted to fix it, just clear the cache and all backround progress and its gone. This is the most working solution AFAIK. Based on my own experience of course. With this method, i can play games, watch videos, and listen to music quiet comfortably. And i forgot to mention that i already scoured the chinese forum for alldocube but no one complained about beeping problem on their device. Waiting for your next reply, Cheers

Which model did you have? Because AFAIK, you can’t flash iplay 40H firmware on another model, i’ve tried flashing the Iplay 40 firmware to my 40H model in the past and it failed Maybe just try to reflash your device with the correct firmware to restore it

You could also try using lawnchair from playstore. The default launcher doesn’t support that?. And BTW, Did you face any problems mentioned in this forum especially freezing and beeping happening on your device? Im curious

Hi there Dragonboy, i don’t know if your’e still checking this forum or not but, i have some diagnostic and troubleshooting advice to make the Iplay 40 pro usable. I have some theory to explain why the stuttering happens, and some step to make the stuttering partially gone. I have scoured the chinese alldocube forum but no one mentioned the problem we faced with the international version. So if anyone is interested, please reply and i’ll consider to make a new post to make our device better, and what to expect from our device. The guide is from my own experience tinkering with the device and looking for information on chinese alldocube forum and the internet so if it doesn’t work for you, please don’t blame me?, cheers

As of now, AFAIK there’s no way to fix the beeping. I have sent my unit back to the seller for 3 times total now, the first would be to reflash the tablet, then after that replacing my mainboard, and the last is getting a whole new unit replacement but the problem still persist. The only workaround that i know is to make a second user account on your tablet and switch to that and back whenever the beeping occurs. That way, you don’t have to restart the tablet everytime it beeps. I do hope that alldocube would roll out a fix for this problem because honestly, this tab is a bang for your buck if there’s no problem with it

That’s exactly what i do last night, and a month ago. The newly uploaded firmware have the same build number as my firmware from two weeks ago and the problem is resurfacing last night. Please read before commenting

I just installed it a few moments ago and right now i’m just monitoring it. I just let the tablet stream some music from music streaming service and turn the screen off. And to my surprise the firmware version number is not changed, it’s still the same as before. It says “T1020H_V1.0_20210909_20210909-1534”, even though the one on the website is “iPlay40H(T1020H)-EN-20210911”. But IDK, let’s just wait a little bit. As i mentioned before, the problem resurfaced a week after i got my unit back from the seller in my country. Maybe if this also fails, I’ll try to downgrade the firmware or just ask for a replacement.

I’m also experiencing this issue, when i first got my unit, it immidiately show these behavior, i tried to do factory reset, and i even tried to send this back to the seller and have him reflash the firmware. It’s fine for a while after i got it back from the seller. But now the problem comes back. Now i’m trying to download the new firmware and will try if it fix the issue. I do hope that alldocube will listen to their consumer’s problem. For the sake of making a name for themselves, Cheers!
