So this is still unresolved as of 2026-08!
Affected at least: Model 70 and 80 from “Mini Pro” Series. Maybe more models… Issue: “Receive Link Speed” constantly dropping down to just 1 mbit/sec.

Unable to recover by itself – whatever the demanding the usage of the tablet… It’s a like state of WLAN agony it enters. ‘Seems to be caused by broken WLAN throttling command implementation. ‘Requires a manual disconnect and reconnect that would help for maximum half a minute then, not longer…

As far as I found out it’s a bug with WiFi download throttling. Something that it causes to collapse constantly.
It’s not FRITZ!Box related, ‘had the very same issue with access points by ZYXEL and TP-LINK while out and about or at work. Easy to reproduce at any time.
It constantly drops down to 1 mbit/sec download speed, while upload remains rock stable.
Like e/g 154 mbit (lasting for 1 second), then collapsing down to 1 mbit, recovering up to just 4 mbit and only for split-second, dropping down to 1 mbit, remaining in a state of agony.
Try this to test it by yourself: start a bandwith demanding audio or video stream then go to settings->WLAN->[Your Network], tip on “>” for details, and take a look at “Receive link speed” info. You will wittness these constant drops down to 1 mbit.
I suppose it’s a bug related to WLAN throttling commands.

iPlay 70 mini Pro user here!
I can confirm the very same issue, with Wi-Fi data throughput collapsing after a certain time, down to staggering low numbers like e/g 15 kbit/sec or even 4 kbit/sec. Unable to recover itself from that state of agony. Without a manual brief disconnect it would just remain in that state…
…Regardless of Wi-Fi access point model-manufacturer or Wi-Fi chipset in use. It’s not a FRITZ!Box related issue.
I still have the iPlay 60 mini pro here with me (as well as the ’50 model). The ’60 series was the last one without that issue! The iplay 60 mini Pro runs rock stable till today when it comes to Wi-Fi data throughput. There is just no Wi-Fi data throughput collapse, not ever with the ’60.
Then, from the ’70 series on we have that unresolved Wi-Fi data throughput collapsing issue. – Checking any energy settings, disactivating all energy saving measures so maxing out performance dosen’t help at all.
It’s a bug definitively and it’s deeply frustrating to read that they copied that very same issue straight into the ’80 generation!
To me that’s a clear warning sign, too.

Is it an older amplifier with basic aptX only, not featuring “HD” with at least 24 bit of depth capability at 48 kHz?
When it comes to AAC, with the iPlay 60 mini Pro in use, I can’t tell about the actual AAC depth and frequency maintained while transmitting, unfortunately since it’s not indicated in my headphones app.
LDAC while at 990 kbit and 24 bit still is the only full range – low distortion codec available. Yes, it’s proprietary, for sure. Here’s the comparison I’m relying on:

It took me quite some time to figure everything out as it required me to force the tablet into different modes of BT codec operation, but here it comes:
AAC supported
SBC supported
aptX (any) not supported
as well as LDAC supported, as I quoted intitially.
Still no idea about the “TURBO” Version of the tablet, powered by Snapdragon…
