Alldocube ULTRA PAD 13 inch – BUG LIST Technical Discussion

Hello!   The issue with the “Share” submenu is still unresolved. I’ve found a lot of information about this issue online.   Basically, when you try to share something and the “Share” menu/dropdown appears, tapping on an app redirects you to the wrong app. For example, if we tap to share something via Gmail, we might be redirected to WhatsApp.   Tapping the “Share” button opens a list of apps you can share with, but tapping on a specific app opens a completely different app.   Tapping the “Share” button displays a list of apps; however, selecting a specific app opens a completely different app.   This issue is a known bug in the firmware of the Alldocube Ultra Pad tablet running Android 15. It’s caused by a coordinate mismatch (a touch index error) in the Android “Share” menu: you tap one icon, but the system registers the tap as if you’d selected an adjacent app or an app from another row.   This is an officially confirmed bug in the Alldocube Ultra Pad firmware on Android 15. The issue is that the system Share Sheet menu incorrectly reads the coordinates of a tap on the tablet’s screen. You physically tap the Google Drive icon, but due to the grid shift, the system thinks you’ve tapped Telegram.   I also found this information.   “Yes, this conclusively confirms that the system coordinate grid (touch-target grid) in the Android 15 ‘Share’ menu is completely broken on your Alldocube Ultra Pad. The issue lies neither with the files nor with File Manager+; rather, the tablet’s operating system is passing an incorrect icon index (ID) to the app for the icon you tapped.”   Please fix this! This function is used very often.

A full factory reset of the device helped. Then a new update installed. The default file manager is now working properly. U1380_B15_V4.1.41_20260206

However! This bug only affects files with extensions (.exe, .rar, .zip). The “Share” pop-up window doesn’t have a Bluetooth option. The .apk extension works fine. See the example below. Link

To Timmer: 1) The stock file manager is now working correctly – It looks like they fixed it! But stoсk file manager it still looks a bit unfinished – there is no cloud storage function. 2) “Sound problem: The sound balance is moved to the left when using DTS music preset, when disabling DTS, the balance is correct so the speakers itself are not faulty.” They didn’t correct it. Same here. The left channel sounds louder than the right channel:( 3) “Sound-API-problem with Android: it’s only possible to use the DTS sound and additional EQ apps (such as Wavelet) when watching media or listening to music. When opening a game, the speakers sound very tinny and quiet because the equalizers are inactive then.” It feels like it’s still like that. 4) “Small unimportant grammar in “system info”. It says “Cameras: Front 500MP, Back 1300MP” instead of “Front 5MP and Back 13MP”” They fixed it! 5) The System UI is set too big, the DPI is a bit all-over-the-place. The settings menu looks fine but browsers or YouTube are looking way too big and appear like on a smartphone. I could fix it myself to set the DPI in the Android Developer settings to 850. Yes, that would be good – 700-850 dpi.

Greetings. New bugs have been discovered. When I want to share a file through a file manager (for example, an audio file or a document or something else – (using the share icon or through the context menu), a window pops up that offers a choice with which application you want to share. For example, I click share in gmail, but a Bluetooth or messenger or random application opens. For example, I click share with the Quick Send app, but gmail or messenger or a text editor or Bluetooth or some other random application opens. Please correct this in the next update. Thnx. Example here
