Tagged: GT Book laptop, not turning on
Hi,
My Alldocube GT Book will not turn on after leaving the charger connected to it for the last couple of days. When connected to the charger it shows a red led light right next to the charger connection, If the charger is disconnected from the laptop, no led light is visible at all. Problem is that I purchased this laptop on August 8, 2021 and it would not start on again. Almost exactly one year and a day since it was ordered from Amazon. Is the warranty over on this thing? All I need is to get it fixed please.
I tried to find a fix online for it and Youtube but there was absolutely nothing there that would help resolve the problem. Please help
Hello, TeckKid07! Does the laptop turn on if you do not turn off the charger? Can you carefully promote and remove the lower lid?
No it will not turn on at all nor will the led indicating that the charger is connected to the laptop is lighting up. What is strange is after attempting to make it turn on , Windows 10 loaded once and then all of a sudden it turned off completely and that was the end of any attempts to make turn on. I think the battery must have had some charge left in it, but since it is zero now it will not turn on at all. Not sure if it is a battery issue or the charger since the led light that would indicate it is charging is not lighting up. Tried to plug the wall outlet plug on/off to see if it will somehow start nothing happened.
Any history of such failures whether it is the battery or charger?
There is a small chance that the charger burned out. Try to measure the output voltage at the output of the charger connector.
You can try to turn it on with a charger or with a power bank with TYPE C. But the GT Book has some special PD charging protocol. Therefore, NOT ALL type C chargers will work!
@wlad74-UA, what do you mean by <<some special PD charging protocol>>? , is there some info about your claim ?
My i7book stopped powering on after using USB-C 65 Watt charger after just a couple of months, see https://www.alldocube.com/en/forums/topic/7222/
