iplay 70 mini pro // no L1 Netflix // No Streaming Apps // No 90hz

Hello Alldocube Team,

1. Netflix is only available in SD quality (L3), not HD (L1)

2. The Netflix app does not open; you first have to close it, remove it from multitasking and then reopen it, which unfortunately has to be done every time you want to use it.

3. The Joyn app (Live TV app) cannot play live TV.

4. The display refresh rate is incorrect; it does not output 90Hz. The display showed 80Hz and, after updating to 4.0.18, it shows 70Hz.

5. When you open the menu for an app (long press on an app), the font is extremely small and difficult to read.

I purchased the device via Amazon Germany and returned it. Now I have ordered a new one and I have exactly the same problems mentioned above with the new device, but my main problem is that Netflix does not work in HD L1.

Can you please help me?

You can enter “(888)=” in the built-in calculator app of the machine, and then check the test result of the drm key in the detection options. If it shows L1 but the Netflix app shows L3, please provide the serial number of the machine. You can wait for the data synchronization on the server side to fix the L1 issue.
Also, regarding the refresh rate issue, there will be an OTA upgrade to fix this problem soon

Hi there I Sent my device back and ordered a new one. In this time a ota Update was Released. On my new device installed the OTA Update and Netflix is file now 🙂

 

now I have the problem

That the screen is twitching ( the picture glitch for a Split second ) its random and only in homemenue. In Apps Games etc. Its is Fine.

 

another thing that seems to be not normal is the scrolling , the Picture gets very blurry while Scrolling and black Text has a Pink Tone on white balckground, of i stop scrolling the pink time disapper and the text is Sharp again

 

is my new Device defective ?

Hello, I have exactly the same problem. Image that freezes or jumps. Sometimes on the home screen, other times on apps. But not all. I have the impression that it’s even worse since the update.

i just wanted to sent my device back to amazon so i made a factory reset, after that i noticed the image looks completly differnt then before, so i testet it out and the pink tone is gone while scrolling and it dont gets so blurry like before the reset. also black text on white background looks way better then before.

 

but the display is still twitching ( the picture glitch for a Split second ) i have the feeling its now more often then before and especially when you open the apps menue from bottom to top.

i noticed also that if a static picture is shown like the systemupdate screen it will make some kind of burn in. ( you can see the text is burned in in the settings search field) this was before the reset and is still the same after the reset but not so noticable then before. another example is if i watch netflx and its not fullscreen (16:9), then you have black bars on top and bottom of the screen. after 20 minutes or so the black bars are visible in the grey search field. it goes away with the time but i want to know is this hardware issue?  or fixable via ota update. also i want to know if the screen twitching is a hardware or fixable software issue.

 

please give me a quick update, so i dont have to return my device again and again.

 

I really think it’s a software problem. The problem is that they sell us tablets with good features. But the software part is unfinished. The court wants to release more and more and faster. I think that unfortunately the updates will not be released. Either send them back, or keep them as is.

Yeah I’m agreed with you mate.For now just waiting the fixed update from them.

Yes, it’s happened on my device too. I think it’s a about software or rom. This rom not ready enough to public consume. Please alldocube fix it or just open the source then believe developer will help with custom rom and device will on top performance. Remember this is like xiaomi strategy in the beginning, now they succeeded and became one of biggest company.

I understand your point of view. But I’m thinking about my money, and I’m not getting my money’s worth here. All I’m asking is to have a decent and usable ROM.

@hamilton60 did you get the latest update with number 4.0.27? After update this tablet more stable and cooler. Until now all issues gone, but I will wait for a week or month to state this build was stable.
