The id**ts have designer it so the tablet case acts as a shield.

Open the tablet up and replace the antenna named “WCN ant” with a cheap one from Amazon or similar. Make a small hole in the chassi and mount the antenna outside and it will work. Mine went from 0.25mbit/s to over 50.

Mind that if you stick the antenna on the back the antenna becomes directional and the back must face the access point.
