I got this laptop from my dad because he got tired of all the crashing. It crashes to a blue screen with a sad face and then restarts. Sometimes it happens within 2 mins after boot. Sometimes it happens after an hour but never longer than that.
Things I’ve tried
Restoring the windows installation with the image file linked from the website. Still crashed.
I then installed my own fresh install of windows 11 from a USB only to discover the trackpad and audio doesn’t work, and windows cant seem to find suitable driver files. I’ve honestly never seen a company that doesn’t provide drivers, amd only provides a pre installed image file. That is really weird. I finally got around this by extracting the drivers from their image file and manually installing them into my clean install of windows. It still crashes.
I’ve ran memtest and tested everything with the ssd and they both passed all tests. I’ve monitored temps with hwinfo and it never gets above 55° C.
I’m at my wits end here and reaching out hoping someone else has had and fixed this problem.
